Hi my name is youland nurse..i know very little about my Nurse background. there are a small group of us that came from Trinidad and the little my grandmother told us was her dad came from a bunch of brother who owned a plantation in barbados..was called the Nurses plantation...some of the brothers left Barbados and relocated to different countries..Canada,England..America ..and my great grandfather came to Trinidad..people always say to me what unusual last name i have...I think its a special name and i feel priveledge and proud to be a Nurse by name and presently going to nursing school..i know some answers probably lies in Barbados..I think we nurses are all family..anyone with information?
