Emma (Martinelli) Nuzzo, 92, of Forest Hills, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008. Emma was a 1939 graduate of Indiana State Teachers College, now IUP, and received her Masters in Education of the Exceptional Child from the University of Pittsburgh in 1960. She also studied library science at Drexel University and she was an elementary teacher/librarian for 29 1/2 years, the last 19 years at Gateway School District. She retired in 1980. Emma was a member of the NEA, PSEA and the GSER. Wife of the late Joseph A. Nuzzo; beloved mother of Jeanne (John) Raymos, of Virginia, and Janice (Jim) French, of Forest Hills; loving grandmother of Emily French, Jason and Justin Raymos; sister of J.B. Martinelli, of Level Green, and Gene Martinelli, of Penn Hills; preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Catherine (Rosetti) Martinelli; and her sisters, Louise Andolina, Ida Campoli, Irene Nese and Lee Visco; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
