This is to correct some information given in the message of 12/31/99. Further research re John Edwin Nyland reveals that he was the son of Edward Nyland, and he did have a sister Anna, but my wife's mother, Anna Nyland was the daughter of Karl (*Charles) Nyland, and she did have a brother John Nyland. This is just to set the record straight.

The two brothers came to America from Sweden, but they did live in Finland prior to going to Sweden. They also are believed to have spelled the name, NYLUND. Their name prior to NYLUND was MEUTS. Apparently changed by the brothers when they lived in Sweden.
