Re: Nissen/Nyssen from Gelting

I am looking for information concerning Karl Henrik Asmus Nissen. I believe that he was born in Hesselbjerg Gelting Flensburg. I have another record that may indicate that he was born in Stolberg, Gram, Germany. Of course, they both may be the same area. I know that he was married to Ellen Hansen in the Ulkebol Parish (sonderborg) and he died in Arrild (Arrild Parish) 1 March 1909. But, I cannot find out any information so far on his parents and ancestory. If you have any information, that would be great to help me get started.

Hi. I'm looking for any information on my ancestor Jannetje Teunis Nyssen who was born before December 22, 1641 in Brooklyn, New York. She was the daughter of Teunis Nyssen Denyce who was born approx. 1615 in Binnick, Utrec, Netherlands. She married a man named Titus Syrach DeVries on March 7, 1659 or 1660 in Flatbush, Kings, New York. Together they had 8 children, all of whom took 'Titus' as their surname as Jannetje did with her father's name.

daughter - Tryntje Titus, b. approx. 1663 in NY
son - Teunis Titus, b. 1665 in Flatbush, Kings, New York
daughter - Femmetje Titus, b. approx. 1673
son - Arays Titus, b. 1677 in Flatbush, Kings, New York
son - Syrach Titus, b. bef.
