I am a descendant of Nathaniel Oak + Mary Holloway, Jonathan Oak + Abigail Rand, Abel Oaks + Betsey Hamlin, Stephen Oaks + Sarah (Sally) Ames, George Oaks + Elizabeth Mock, William Oaks + Fannie Marple (gr-grandparents). Oak is occasionally used in documents. I am currently concentrating on George and Elizabeth. They lived in Pennsylvania in Oct 1859 and Illinois by March 1862, but haven't been able to locate them in the 1860 census. I am interested in exchanging information with anyone connected to this line.
