I am searching for information on Stephen Oak, living with John and Sarah Hillman in the Wards Grove township of JoDaviess county, Illinois in the 1860 census. John was born in Penn; Sarah was 26 and born in Maine. They have 3 children listed: Sarah J., age 9; Mary, 7; and Alfred, 4. Sarah and Mary were born in Penn, Alfred in Ill. Stephen was 66, born in Maine, and a carpenter. I believe that Stephen is Sarah Hillman's father, who born Feb 28, 1795 to Abel and Betsey Oak. I would appreciate any information on the Hillman-Oak connection.
