I am a descendant of Nathaniel Oak + Mary Holloway, Jonathan Oak + Abigail Rand, Abel Oaks + Betsey Hamlin, Stephen Oaks + Sarah (Sally) Ames, George Oaks + Elizabeth Mock, William Oaks + Fannie Marple (gr-grandparents). Oak is occasionally used in documents. Record starts in Massachusetts, moves to Maine, then to Pennsylvania. I am currently concentrating on George and Elizabeth. They were married in Pennsylvania in 1854, moved to JoDaviess county, Illinois by 1860, then on to Plymouth county, Iowa in 1870. I am interested in exchanging information with anyone connected to this line.
