Does anyone know who has access to pre-1946 issues of the Holly Herald? Surprisingly, the Holly Twp. Library doesn't know but they did suggest the Holly Historical Society. Looking for someone who can do a lookup (paid) for an article about a gunshot accident pre-1900. I have the exact date of death. Thanks.

Albuquerque Journal North - April 10 2003

LOIS LORRAINE OAKLAND , 84, died Sunday after a courageous battle against Alzheimer's disease. She was born in Altoona, Pa., on April 29, 1918. She graduated from Pittsburgh State University in Pennsylvania in 1942 with a bachelor's degree in nursing. She went on to study for her master's degree at Columbia University Medical School in New York. She served her country during World War II in the Army Medical Corps from 1942 to 1943. It was during that period that she met her husband, actor Simon Oakland (now deceased). They were married for more than 40 years. She went on to teach nursing at Norwegian Hospital for more than five years and then became chief of nurses at Ravenswood Hospital in New York for five years. After her career in nursing ended, she pursued her first love, creative writing. She went on to sell many screenplays for TV and also published a novel. She is survived by her only child, Barbara A. Barbara and husband Marty Frenkel of Los Angeles; sisters, Barbara Shigley of State College, Pa., Leona Dean of Panama City, Fla., and Frances Layton of Marina, Calif. A celebration of Lois's life will be held on what would have been her 85th birthday, April 29, in Santa Fe.

I am in search of an Ole O.(possibly Olson) Oakland of Minnesota. He operated Oakland Cottages on Big Ole (im guessing named after him ) lake, near Marcell, Minnesota with his daughter Clara Oakland (Stickler - who is my Gr. Grandmother) I know she had more siblings, though the only name I have for any is Hilda Oakland ( m. Helleckson). Its believed they were from Goodhue Co. Mn... though I have heard stories about Northfield, MN. Not alot to go on, but, if you have any information on Oaklands from Minnesota, It would be greatly appreciated! thanks...
