my ggrandmother, Mary Ellen Oakley, was born in Pennsylvania, probably in or near Scranton around 1874, daughter of David and Annie Oakley, who may have emigrated from Ireland. Mary Ellen married Michael McGrath and settled on Mary Street in Old Forge, PA in the late 1890s and had 11 children.

Mary Ellen had at least three sisters, Kate, Beatrice and Annie. Beatrice married a Hanafee and Annie married Walter Hollerman.

Any info on Oakley's from Lackawanna Co., PA is appreciated.
