I am looking for information on family members of Samuel H. Oaks b. 1829 Rose Township, Wayne County, New York. He was the son of Charles G. Oaks (b. 1802) of Vermont and Sally S. Hills (b. 1804) of Rensselaer, New York.

Samuel Oaks lived most of his life in Hillsdale County, Michigan. His wife was Esther Humphrey (b. 1830). Together they had three children: Elizabeth L. Oaks (Cox) (b.1851), Charles H. Oaks (b.1853), George S. Oaks (b.1856).

Samuel Oaks was one of a family of seven children. A brother Seth A. Oaks lived in Waupaca, Wisconsin. I have no information on other family members.
