Muskegon County Oatmans/Blanch married Titus and Robert King

I cannot, for ANYTHING find information on Blanch Oatman after she married Robert King. She first married a Titus. Then she married Robert. I am looking for death dates for both and where they may be buried.

I read that possible parents for Robert are Aaron and Amanda, but I couldn't find any concrete evidence to support this.

ANY info would be appreciated!!!

Hi, Phares Mickle Oatman b. September 15, 1880- d. November 22, 1940, parents Daniel Oatman b. March 1844-d. 1921; mother Emma E. Weimer/Wimer b. March 1854- d. 1916, was my grandfather. He married Annie Catherine Wood b. September 14, 1881-d. June 22, 1956. Their daughter Myrtle Catherine Oatman Hawthorne was my mother. I found Phares's parents on his death certificate. He was born after the 1880 Census was taken, thats why he wasn't on it. He is in the 1900 Census in Bart Twp,Lancaster Co, he lived with the Walton family. I have the children of Phares & Annie. I have that clipping as well. My grandmother was Anna M Oatman. Through census records I've located Walter W, Roxie, Charles C, Anna, Harry F., and John. However, I've not been able to find any mention of Phares other than in the obit.

I am looking for an obituary from 1997 from the northern area. I believe Montana. But He went by Carl Oatman born Dec 14 1900 and died in 1997. In his obit it will list 2 sons as passed, 2 living, and a daughter. If anyone has any info as to where I might find this. I have been trying to find this info and have had no luck at all.

Oatman from Otto to Joseph

I am looking for information on my great great grandfather Otto Oatman and his family. I have found
Otto C. Oatman Born 1877 to Benjamin Oatman and Lizzie Gentry.
Benjamin born 1843 in Indiana to Jesse Oatman born Feb 20 1801 and died July 21, 1885, Possibly born to Joseph Oatman.

If any of this sounds familiar please let me know. I have been searching for months and have yet to find any relatives who actually know Otto. Any help is appreciated.

I am looking for information on Sanford Oatman. I was told he was the half-brother of my great great grandfather Heyward (Haywood) Glover. Trying to see if your Sanford is the right connection. I know that they had the same mother and different fathers and that both Heyward and Sanford were mulatto.

Does anyone have any information on Otto C. Oatman. He is the son of Benjamin Oatman and Lizzie Gentry. He was born in 1877 in Indiana. His Grandparents are Jesse Oatman and Abigail Drew. All I know is he died in 1910. I do not have a date or a place. Im not sure if he had any siblings or not. He was only married once to Nellie May Reed in 1899 in Dunklin County Missouri. Please reply if you know anything.

Okay I have looked more and we are related. My Jesse Oatman and Abigail Drew had Benjamin Oatman who is the Brother to Theodore, Benjamin then had Otto C. Oatman who is my Great Great Grandfather. If you would like to look at what I have so far my tree is under Oatman Family Tree.

I am trying to figure my line. We have Otto C. Oatman born 1877- died 1910, His father was Benjamin Oatman and Lizzie Gentry. I believe Benjamins dad was Jesse Oatman and if i go back what i find is that Joseph is jesse father. Then I find Jacob as father to Jesse. But im totally lost. Any help would be wonderful.

Sanford Oatman was my great great grandfather. He fought in the Civil War. He is buried at the Veterans' Home in King, Wisconsin. He lived in Menominee, Mich. His name is on a stone incommeration on servant men. My brother, James,lives in Memoninee. My nephew is making a family tree. I hope that you can share with me. I hope this was of help.

I am looking for any information on Otto C. Oatman and Nellie M. Reed Oatman later Berry as to where they are in 1910. I know Otto Died in 1910 But I can not on any census or any source anywhere find a place of death for Otto. Their Children are Carl Ross brn Dec 14, 1900, Jesse Charles June 2, 1904, Jake W. June 6 1906, Edward J. Dec 21, 1908. Otto and Nellie were married in 1899 in Dunklin County Missouri. I have 1900, 1920, and 1930 Census' for them only ones missing is Otto in the 1910. Thank you and hints are welcome.

Olive Oatman married my ancestor Thomas Richard Stockett, Jr. I have read of the Olive Oatman who she was named after. If it is not too late, I would love to have a photo of Oatman, AZ. Thomas Richard is the 3rd great grandson of my 5th great grandfather. I found the information on the first Olive Oatman fascinating.

Hi i am seira oatman, my dad's side of my family has the ancestory of olive she is my great aunt of my dad's parents so i am there great grandaughter.My grandma and grandpa's names are Viola Oatman,and Robert Oatman.My grandmother passed away a little bit before i was born. Olive Oatman supported herself by traveling and giving lectures after the book by Rev. Stratton was published. The book was sold and also CDV photos of herself with tattoos during her lecture. That's how old photos of her ended up in so many old family albums. The Libraian at the Rochester Museum of Science told me that many people over the years had asked her who was this Indian woman in their family album.

I am the granddaughter of Hazel Oatman Hedden. Her mother and father were Ernest and Mary Howard Oatman. Hazel's siblings were Ernest, Lonnie, Marion and Annette. They lived in Verona, NY 1900 - 1920ish, then moved to Syracuse. Would love to hear from you and get more information on the family.
I'm am just starting to look into the decendents and new to the ancestry website.

I was doing a search for Schmidt's & saw your message with Schmidt's in the listing.

My grandpa, Andrew Schmidt, was born in 1881 and arrived in the U.S. in 1890, and has listed himself as from both Germany & Austria. When I was looking through my old stuff the other day, I noticed for the first time that on his WWI draft card dated 9/12/1918, he listed LeRoy Schmidt, Ann Arbor, Michigan as closest living relative.

I haven't been able to find ANYTHING on his past...nothing in Ellis Island, etc. I've been told that he came to the U.S. with an Aunt & Uncle & am now heading that direction. My mother has his parents listed as Faldean & Julia in a Bible I have.

I'm hoping you may be connected through LeRoy Schmidt & I'll finally be able to gather more info.

I'm looking to connect with any descendants of James Johnston OATMAN, M.D., and Regina (Jennie) McDERMITT. As far as I know, children of this couple were William Johnston, b 1869, Robert Milton, b 1870, Stella Gertrude, b 1873, Charles Joseph b 1878, Genevieve Catherine, b 1883, Ernest, b 1888, and Ralph Bernard, b 1892.

I have followed some of the children of this couple through the 1930 census, when Genevieve OATMAN was living in Buffalo, NY, with husband John J. FURRIE and daughter Genevieve. Ralph OATMAN was living in Beloit, WI, with wife Wilene, daughter Wilene, son Ralph and daughter Betty Lou.

In 1920, Ernest OATMAN was living in Irondequoit Twp., Monroe Co., NY, with wife Nelda and son Robert. Charles OATMAN was living in Youngstown, OH, with wife Lucy. I did not follow Charles or Ernest further.

In 1920, Robert Milton OATMAN was living in Altoona, PA, with wife Blanche (Moss) and son Robert Moss Oatman. Robert Moss Oatman later married Louise NELSON and had a daughter Barbara J., who married a GIBSON. Robert Moss Oatman died in 1978 in Dundalk, MD.

Stella OATMAN died in Buffalo, NY, and had been married to a man named KELLER sometime after 1910. I do not know the date of her death.

If anyone has info on any of these people or their descendants, please contact me. Any information will be much appreciated.

Have tried emailing you but it bounced back. Floyd Oatman was the son of Frank and Ellen (Crossett) Oatman. His mother Ellen was the daughter of Zilotis and Jane (Root) Crossett. Jane was my 3rd great grandmother's older sister, a daughter of James and Sarah (Baker) Root.

Thanks to Lu who posted on ROOTSWEB message board for Moultons: for the correction on my previous posting. The Oatmans living with Thomas Moulton (Sr) in 1850 were not his wife's parents, but rather they were Thomas Sr's mother and her second husband - see posting of Thomas J Moulton (Jr) biography. (The 1850 Census makes the name look like Oakman but according to the grandson's biography it's Oatman.)

I'm wishing for more information on Samuel Oakman or Oatman b abt 1768 in VT. He is on the 1850 IA Jackson Co census with our Moulton family. Occupation: Laborer. I'm wondering if he is the father of our Mrs. Lucina Moulton, wife of Thomas, and father of Albert. Albert is my husband's great grandfather.
Also living with the family was a Bisey Oatman/Oakman age 57. She would be too young to be a mother of Lucina but could be a step-mother or a maiden sister. (Bessie or Betsy Oatman/Oakman lived with Albert's brother on a later census.)
