My grandfather (Charles Martin) and his brother (Jacob) acconpanied their mother (Caroline Ackermann) from Wurttemberg (2 dots over u) in 1867. The father could not leave because he was in the Military; he died shortly after the left the country. There last name was Obermuller (2 dots over u) ; which had usual americanizing change to Obermiller upon leaving Wurttemberg. My grandfather changed to Overmiller upon naturaliztion. Can not find any thing about there father but their mother was from Lippoldswelter, Backnang. This is a few miles ENE of Stuttgart. This is all I know and hav not been able to find any records of there trip to there settling in Buchanan County, MO.
