Mary, no the name of Oburn is far from dead, not in this neck of the woods anyhow. Doesn't sound like we have a connection. I've been working on the Oburn's. My grandfather came from Pa. and his name was Jacob Philip Urban or Urben and it was changed to Oburn at a later date when they came to Ohio. Cannot find much information on him. Just wanted to let you know the "Oburn" name is still going.
