I am attempting to locate information on the family of James B. Odle, born in North Carolina in 1814-1815; died Oct. 27, 1884, supposedly in Wise County, VA, but in the death register is listed as dying in North Carolina and buried in Wise County, VA. He married Nancy Patton in Wythe County, VA in 1846, is in Smyth County, VA in 1850, in Russell County, VA in 1860, and lives in Wise County, VA until his death. James father is listed as Larkin, but I can't find anything about this family. If you have any information that would give me a clue where to start looking for this family I would appreciate it.
