I am not a relative of the OEMIG family, but there are thirty of them on the Social Security Death Index:

and the 30th on the list is Otto OEMIG, born Feb. 1, 1894. Everyone on the list would have filled-out an SS-5 form and would have been asked for his birthplace, father’s name, mother’s maiden name, etc. The Social Security Administration charges a high fee ($27.00) for a copy of a person’s SS-5 and it takes several months to arrive.

Anyone interested in obtaining a copy of that form should find the relevant entry on the SSDI, then click on SS-5 on the right-hand side. Then print out the letter on your screen and mail it in with the fee.

Hello, my name is Paulo A. Oemig and I'm looking for any
information relevant to the oemig's genealogy.
My grandfather was born in Copenhagen, DK. in 1893 (not sure about the year).
His name was Ove Otto Andreas Martin Oemig, and believe his parents were from
Germany. Though I'm not sure how many brothers or sisters he had.
My father passed away a few years ago, and my uncles and aunts don't know much.
Any pertinent information would be greatly appreciated.
