I am seeking information and correspondence from, to or about Harvey Officer, (Jr.) (1872-1947) and his family.
He was born in St. Paul, Minnesota (1872) and passed away in New York City (1947). He was unmarried but had several sisters and half-sisters, as well as nieces and nephews, several of whom did marry.
His father, Harvey Officer, Sr. (1834-1913), was married three times.
His first wife, Louisa Gorman Officer died from consumption, March 4, 1870.
Their daughter, Martha Caroline, was born December 7, 1859. She married a man named Woodward. After being widowed, Martha entered the Community of St. Mary, an Episcopal order. As Sister Monica, she served in the Philippines from 1912-1916. She passed away in 1930.
The second Mrs. Officer was Henrietta L. Paterson (c. 1845-1879) who was mother to Harvey, Cornelia Bell, and Alice Consett Officer. Henrietta Paterson Officer was descended from Rufus King and William Paterson.
Sister Alice Consett Officer (1875-1944) married William Warren Owens. They had three children, Mrs. Edwin P. (Henrietta) Ansley (Atlanta),
Mrs. James Gamble (Alice W.) Rogers (Pound Ridge) and
John Warren Owens.
Sister Cornelia Bell Officer (1877-?), married William Winfield Brown. Their children were

Milton G. Brown (1903-?),
Harvey O. Brown (1908-1973), an organist and composer, who also taught music. He was piano accompaniest and composer for Iva Kitchell, dance satirist, in the 1930s and 40s. Composer Lejaren Hiller (1924-1994), studied the piano with Mr. Brown and harmony with Harvey Officer.
Mary Alice Brown (1914 -1988). Mary Alice Brown married Edward J. Veitch (1910-?), the son of Andrew and Jane Veitch of Bloomington, on June 17, 1939, in the chapel of St. Bartholomew’s Church. Mr. Veitch was appointed an assistant secretary at Irving Trust Company in February 1943
Daughter Elizabeth Ann Veitch married Rev. Thomas A. Dodge, Jr., of Litiz, PA (June 23, 1967).
Daughter Jane Veitch, who married Rev. William A. Greenlaw. They reside in New York.
The third Mrs. Officer was Sarah M. Gordon Their daughter, Katherine Evelyn, was born c. 1882. Katherine Evelyn Officer married John G. Priedeman, of St. Paul, MN, on January 11, 1905.
