Hi Debra, I think I likewise am descended from this family through my 5th gr grandfather John Ogg, born 1723 in Whaligoe, Wick, Caithness, Scotland. He emigrated to what is now Greene Co., VA with wife Mary in July, 1752. His brother Alexander arrived at a later time; both died in Orange Co., Virginia. At John's christening in 1723, there were Sinclairs as witnesses, and John's son William Ogg (1769-1851), my 4th gr grandfather named a son Sinclair Ogg, born in 1802, Orange Co., Virginia.
