I am looking for any help in tracing my Ogle's back before 1820. My GGGGrand Father John Ogles was born Oct 20 1820 in Newton-Upon-Ayr Scotland to Thomas Ogles and Agnes Gray Ogles their marriage date was Oct 28, 1814 In Newton-Upon-Ayr. Thomas' parents were Thomas Ogles and Elizabeth Caldwell, they married March 6, 1790. I would like to go back further but don't know where to look. All of my Ogle grandfathers were boatbuilders so I have a hunch they came out of Northumberland, England. Also interested in Grandmothers backgrounds. Thank you!
