Magdalene Teglash, 86, a resident of Linden, New Jersey and a former resident of West Hazleton, Pennsylvania died Monday, January 3, 2005 at the Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center, Rahway, New Jersey.
Magdalene was born in West Hazleton and was the daughter of the late Peter and Sally (Steifer/Stzajfer) Ogorzalek (Ogozalek).
Preceding her in death was her husband, Albert Teglash Sr. in 1980 and 11 brother and sisters: Joseph, Catherine, John, Sophia, Mrs Peter (Mary) Potochney, Mathew Ogorzalek Sr., Mrs Stanley (Anna) Nawracaj, Mrs Joseph (Helen) Kislear, John Ogorzalek, Mrs Joseph (Stella) Hricak, and Mrs John (Frances) Wydock (Wojdacz).
Surving are the following children: Albert J. Teglash, Pahway, New Jersey, Patricia Gwozdz, Linden, New Jersey, and Theresa Andretta, Mountainside, New Jersey.; grandchildren: Jennifer Gwozdz and Michael Andretta; and a twin sister, Agnes Ogorzalek Wydock (Wojdacz), Hazleton, Pennsylvania.
A mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, January 8, 2005 in Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church, West Hazleton. Interment followed in Calvary Cemetery, Drums, Pennsylvania.
Magdalene was also the granddaughter of the late Mateus and Mary Dziekan (Jakon) Steifer (Stzajfer), originally from Mielec. Poland and the granddaughter of the late Jacub and Anna ( Sosicz) Ogorzalek from Wadowice Gorne, Poland. In addition, Magdalene was the great granddaughter of the late Andreas and Salomea (Zola) Dziekan (Jakon). and the great granddaughter of the late Joannes and Lucia (Starzyk) Ogorzalek and the late Antonius Sosicz. Magdalene's great- great grandfather was the late Thomas Starzyk, also of Poland. .
