John,

I don't know how much I can help, because I am stuck also. Malgozrata Pajak (1881-2/2/43) was born in Zgorsko to Josef Pajak and Jadwiga Szydlo. She married Josef Starzyk on 11/15/1910 in Chicopee, MA. Malgozrata travelled alone, as far as I can tell, to the US in 1902.

Josef Starzyk's sister, Victoria, married Josef Ogorzalek. Josef Ogorzalek's sister married a Stanley Pajak, but I have not found out if Malgozrata and Stanley were related.

Sorry I can't be more help. If I find any more information, I'll pass it on to you.

Hi, Larry,

I've finally had a chance to do more research. Joseph Ogorsalek and Apolina Sypek were Godparents to Apolina Starzyk born June 11, 1900 at St. Stanislaus Church in Chicopee, MA. Peter Ogorzalek and Victoria Kagan were Godparents to Peter Starzyk born October 11, 1903 at the same church. They were the children of Josef and Katherine (Kos) Starzyk. Josef was Victoria Ogorzalek's (wife of Josef) brother. Josef Starzyk's marriage certificate to his second wife, Margaret Pajak, says he was born in Wampierzow, Galicia. He was born in 1872 and Victoria in 1873. Godparents of other children were: Joannes Kos, Agnes Kapinos, John Lonizak, and Helena Kos. Witnesses to Josef and Margaret's wedding were Joanne Zieba and Felicia Kos. Do any of these other names ring a bell?

Yesterday, I found out that Victoria Ogozalek, the grandmother of John F. Ogozalek, Jr., was the store keeper of the dry goods store in Chicopee, MA. She was my grandfather's (Josef's) sister, and the children of Albert and Maryanna (Sypek) Starzyk. In 1920, she lived at 216 West Main Street in Chicopee, MA with her three children, Mary, John, and Stanislaw, and her mother-in-law, Mary. Victoria was a widow. Can we compare notes??????

Looking for any information on Walter or Jeanne (maden name Tremblay) - she was born in 1930 - they had at least 2 children (both girls). This name seems uncommon - I'm wishing for some connection! Thanks jillsaffee@sbcglobal.net
