Update II on the OHNSAT=SALLINGER line

Following a hunch from a posted genealogy that includes a Dorothea OHNSAT, child of a Joseph OHNSAT and Elizabeth ROTHAMEL of Pittsburgh PA, I tracked down the microfilmed Kirchenbücher of Grüben, Kreis Falkenberg, Schlesien, Deutschland (now in prov. Oppole, Poland). This posted genealogy was first posted by Christine Henderson, in the Tallon data on Ancestry.com (http://awt.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=:14565...).

My research in the Kirchenbücher now substantiates that John Robert OHNSAT had six siblings, including a Franz Joseph and a Joseph. The Kirchenbuch also provides the names of their parents as Franz OHNSATH and Catherina SCHOLZ.

I have presented the essential information to the genealogy enthusiasts who post their data to the internet (Christine Henderson, B. Magee?, Jim Heinrich, J. Oberreuter, Bauerschaper, Kerry Keener, M. Gisi, Scott Warner, Hugh A. Zorger) for their use with credit to my research.

Yes, I would be very glad to see the funeral card. I can also translate it for you. (It likely contains only a prayer in addition to the dates, but I would be happy to translate whatever is there.) I'll send you more information on contacting me in a private e-mail.

This gives me a little more hope of finding an OHNSAT family Bible.

Thank you very much,
Thomas Kohn
