My family of Oldfield's originally came from Rastrick area in Yorkshire, to work in the silk industry in Macclesfield at the turn of the 19th Century. Frederick Oldfield was born in 1808 in Yorkshire, his parents were Thomas Oldfield and Susannah Noble. I am sure more members of this family moved down to Macclesfield. I would be interested to hear of anyone who may be related. Frederick married a local girl Ann Boothby from Bollington and they had 10 children
