Hello, i'm trying to find out George Oldroyd. The facts I already know are:
1.) He died in Watford on 9th Dec 1939, aged 34yrs
2.) He was in the RAF as AC2 in Duxford camps when he got married to Violet Annie Bone in September 1924
3.) His dad was called John Oldroyd and he was an electrician who died before 1924.
4.) They had 5 children together - Ronald (born 1925 in sheffield, died as an infant), Arthur Fredrick (born 1926 in Aylesbury buckinghamshire, still alive), Arthur fredrick again! (AKA George Henry, born 1928 in Aylesbury Buckinghamshire, still alive), Violet E (born 1930 in Aylesbury buckinghamshire, died as an infant) and Gwedoline (born in 1931 in Aylesbury, still alive today). I have asked the above people about their mum and dad but because they died when they were young, they don't remember much about the situation. They seem to think that George may have been born in sheffield.
