My great grandfather was Joseph Olier. He was born in the United States, in Swormville, NY. His father, Pierre Olier came from Porcelette, France.
Pierre Olier was born in 1812 and his father, Pierre Olier was born in 1772, and his father Nicolas was born in 1745, his father Jean was born in 1723 and his father was Jean Olier but I do not have any information about him except he married Marguerite Muller.

I think the name of Olier was changed to Olear, which was my maiden name.Glad to hear from you.
