For you Ollis researchers. I have learned that Diadeem Ollis was actually the daughter of Alexander Southerland Ollis and Sarah Melton Ollis, not the daughter of Boston.

Diadeam married James Bryson Holtsclaw. She is buried in the English cemetery in North Cove, McDowell County, North Carolina

Am looking for information on Pauline Pyatte. Pauline was the daughter of Lula Ollis and Raplh Pyatte. When Lula died Pauline was raised by her grandmother Delzie Ollis.

Pauline married and had at least three children. The last I knew she was in the East Saint Louis, Ill area in the early 70's

Who did she marry? Who are her descendants. What ever became of her?

I am Jim Lucas and your query concerning Wilborn Ollis came to my inbox. My mother's maternal side of the family was Ollis and I have a Welborn Ollis born 13 May 1878 and died 17 Nov 1918 who was married to Sarah Jane Buchanan who was born 19 Mar 1874 and died 9 May 1959. They had seven children including: Cordie, Pantha, Stella, Vema, Homer, Steve, and Faye; all married. Welborn's father was Boston Alexander Ollis born 21 Jul 1853 and died Mar 1928. His mother was Beuna Vance. Boston's father was James Wesley Ollis and mother was Liza Weatherman.

It has been long thought that Christiana's last name was Boston, because of her son's death certificate, I believe, but some of us think that the coincidence of her name being the same as Peter's father is too much to accept. I think there may have been some confusion along the way.

In addition, I have her family bible, and in it she lists as the first child a son names James Jacob Starns, so it appears she was married once before she married Peter, and that her married name was Starns.

Are you related to Woodrow and Roy Crane, by any chance?

Having gone through several census records that stop at 1870, I have noticed that George is not the most common name but there seems to be one in about every two states.
It would be a long shot if your ggrandfather was the one I am looking for.
The painting that I have was painted by George in 1873 andlooks to be a mixture of catholic imagery and american indian.
