My grandmother Eleanora Isabel Gentles was adopted by Frank Gentles and Berta Roose Gentles. She was adopted from a Catholic Hospital at 3 mo. She was born November 18, 1916 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. All that was learned was that the biological mother was tiny, my grandmother was as well. The father had a last name of ONeal. It was always belived that grandma was full Irish.
