Genealogy tree NERINCKX

Hello ,

My name is Nerinckx Daniel and I am 38 years old. I am married and have
two daughters.
I live in Belgium in the town Halle. This is about 20 kilometers under
Brussel.
I was surfing on the web in some genealogy sites and found your request
for information about the family name Nerinckx.
About 20 years ago I did also genealogy researches on my name.
I found some ancestors, but about 10 years ago I had the change that a
Belgian professional Genealogist (Hervé Douchamps) made a book about our
name.
In the book you have nearly all Nerinckx ancestors going back till the
15th century.
It seems that the roots of our family can be found in Beert. This is a
little village at about 7 km from where I live.
Until today there are still a lot of Nerinckx families in our
neigherbood. So we can be sure that our roots start here somewhere.
Some of them went to the States around the beginning of the 19th
Century.
One of them ,(wehere I am sure about) was Charles Nerinckx. A priest
which worked together with the sisters of Loretto. I saw some sites on
the web about these persons and it seems that he was very known is the
States.

Be aware that around the west side of the Belgiun (the belgian cost)
there are also other families with a name like Nerinckx or Nerincx ,but
it is written (Neyrinck).
Until now there is no relation found between this name and our name.
In case one of your ancestors are realy a Nerinckx , feel free to send
me a mail, so I can check my book to find more information about them.

I dont think that the name Nerinckx comes from the Netherlands, but from
Belgium.

I am working in the Head quarter of Citibank Belgium as programmer.
you can always send me a mail to my mailbox :

daniel.nerinckx@citicorp.com

Good luck with further research

Daniel

O'Neary/Nearing

Ancestors are believed to be Dutch using last
name Nerinckx. Left Netherlands for religious
reasons. Settled in Ireland. Left Ireland around
the time of the famine. Settled in Nova Scotia, Canada.
Name went from Nerinckx to O'Neary, to Nerin or Neirin to
Nearing. Michael Nearing married Susan Hall. If you have
any information, please contact me.
