I am looking for information about Peder Hansen Ongstad who came to the United States from Nortway sometime in the 18180's we think. We understand that the name Ongstad was taken from the farm or village in Norway where the family lived. He was postmaste in Portlock in the Alska Territory from 1921 until we are not sure when. He later moved t Seattle Washington where he died in about 1960. We are planning a trip to Norway this fall and would love to find and visit the Ongstad farm or village. thank you for any help you can give.
