Looking up My Family Tree info, I show Tyler O'Quinn was my Great-Great-Great Grandfather. He was born in 1814 in Colleton District to Parents Silas O'Quinn (born 24 July 1789 in Samson County NC) and his wife, Ann Nancy Crummy (born 3 July 1789 in Barnwell District, SC).

I show that they were married in 1749 in Colleton District and had 7 Children:

TYLER O'QUINN, b. C1814 in COLLETON DISTRICT, SC
STEPHEN O'QUINN, b. 08 JAN 1814 in SC

Willouby was the brother of my gg grandfather Elihue ...son was Barnabus(Barney)my g grandfather ... his son was Troy (my grandfather) (he was a twin... Brother Roy)my Mother is Wanda O'Quinn Hess

Not sure where "Dank" Va is but my "people" are from Duty, Va or Bee Located near Big A mountain in the counties of Russell, Buchannon, Mom currently lives near Big A in Honaker, Va. There are some of us left.

Willoughby and Mary Elizabeth O'Quinn in Virginia

No wonder O'Quinns can find each other. There must not be many! I looking for information on my ggrandfather. His name was Willougby O'Quinn. He married a Murray Elizabeth, unknown last name. Oral tradition has it that they moved from a place known as 'Dank' Virginia, other landmarks include Sandy Ridge and Hazel VA.after selling the family property to a coal company. This would have taken place somewhere around the 1920's give or take a few years. They drove their cattle and wagons to Cripple Creek in Carter Co. TN. where Willougby bought land. He brought his family with him, boys include Oliver, Andy, Patrick, Rosevelt, Columbus and Culbertson, girls include Violo, Cynthia, Lula and Naomi. Any help would sure be appreciated. My grandmother was Naomi O'Quinn/Webb.

Louis Lemet O'quinn (8-26-1942 to -) is the son of Adrian Eldredge O'Quinn and Mary Lou Wallette.
Adrian (11-18-1898 to 3-8-1963) was the son of Armstead Newton O'Quinn and Martha Ann Pharis

Armstead (4-13-1837 to about 1908) was born in Pike Co., Ms and probably died in southern in Natchitoches Parish. He was the son of Daniel Thomas O'Quinn (8-18-1800 to 2-8-1865) and Barsheba W. Hall (4-28-1806 to 4-7-1863). Daniel was born in South Carolina. Daniel and Barsheba had moved to Pike Co., Ms by 1822 when their oldest child was born and they moved to Emden near Verda in Grant Parish La. after Andrew was born in 1845. Both Daniel and Barsheba are buried in Mars Hill Cemetery in Verda, La.

Daniel was the son O John O'Quinn (11-25-1746 to 9-18-1829) and Grace Spivey (ca 1759 to 3-7-1834). He was born in Edgecomb Co., N.C. and both died in Pike Co., MS.

Does anyone have more or different information? I would like to share. I do have a copy of the book "The O'Quinn's, Ireland to Texas" by D. P. O'Quinn There are some pictures in it, mostly of William Araster O'Quinn's descendants.

Yes it is the same O'Quinn family, Daniel O'Quinn and Barsheba Hall were the parents of my great great grandfather William Araster O'Quinn, my Great grandfather was his son Edwin O'Quinn and my grandfather was his son Overton "Ovie" O'Quinn who was my mother's father. My mother is Roma Elaine O'Quinn. Which of Daniel and Barsheba's children is your husband's great grandfather? Do you know of anyone with photo's of any of the children of Daniel and Barsheba or of them? I would be happy to share any information that I have.

My husband, Louis O'Quinn, is a gr-grandson of Daniel O'Quinn & Barsheba Hall. Many of their children were born in Pike Co. Missisippi. I would like to see your tree if it connects to these O'Quinns.

Hello, My great great grandfather was William Araster O'Quinn who married Harriet Thompson, I believe that his father was Daniel O'Quinn. Inever met my father , he and my mother divorsed while I was small, he was from the n. charleston, sc area. The only contact that I had was an aunt that married an Infinger. I was gone for a long time so I lost contact.

I am related through James E. O'Quinn and Mary E. Freeman.
I would be interested in any infomation that you might have on them. Their daughter, Martha J. O'Quinn married my great grandfather John David Ellis. I have the father of Mary E. Freeman as Edward Freeman and her Mother is Hannah ?. I don't have any other dates or who James and Mary's parents are. Did you find anything more on the family story?

Colleton County, SC O'Quinns

Looking for info on the O'Quinns of Colleton County, SC. James Franklin "Frank" and Hattie Elizabeth (Brant) O'Quinn were my great-grandparents. They owned the O'Quinn Tourist Camp on Highway 17 ALT (now Hendersonville Hwy) in Walterboro, SC. This was actually the very first motel between Charleston and Savannah. They also donated the land where the Great Swamp Baptist Church, also on Hendersonville Hwy, is. Their children were: Cora (my great-grandmother), Ernest, Edith, Woodrow, Agnes, and Corrie Bell.

James "Frank" O'Quinn was the son of James Henry and Kisiah Trowell O'Quinn, but I do not have a lot of info before. Hattie was the daughter of William Alfred and Harriet Abigail Mirandy Cope Brant of Barnwell County, SC. From what I have been told in the past, both of these lines of the O'Quinns and Brants originated in Barnwell County, but I do not know where they were before. If anyone has info they'd like to share I'd appreciate it!
