I know he died in 1904. <br><br>I have census records of him up to 1881 when he was married to Jemima Tidmarsh nee Roby. He then disappears until the 1901 census when he shows up again in Hyde Street, Purton with a wife named Jane and a granddaughter (Rose). All very curious because in 1881 he was a Master Builder employing 6 men and in 1901 a bricklayer. <br><br>Jemima was registered as living in Purton in the 1891 census with her granddaughter (Rose), then she disappears. I guess she died sometime between 1891 and 1901 (which is why Rose moved in with Edmund).<br><br>If you can shed any light on these missing years I would be grateful as it`s driving me mad!!!!!<br><br>If you have anything on the Roby`s as well that would be helpful. She and her husband Charles Ordel emigrated from the UK to Perth, Western Australia in the early 1950s.
