Alice Louise Orne

I've have a circa 1895 school "yearbook" for lack of a better word that I bought at an auction several years ago. It has a cabinet photo of Alice Louise Orne of Freeport, Maine who would have been born around 1878. The photo is of her standing holding a book in her hands.

If there are any family members interested in it, I am looking to sell the original photo.

Thanks for the reply. Eliza is my g-g-g-grandmother. I thought that her parents might have been Jonathan and Anna. For some reason, the Marblehead Vital Records lists their daughter as Eliza[beth] Ball Orne, but she is the only Eliza Orne born in Marblehead in the right time period.

Orne's in Ohio

I am in the process of trying to find my family's history past my great-grandparents & any siblings they may of had, but so far I am finding it very challening & running into several walls. My great-grandparents were Dewitt & Clida Orne. I know that they resided in Cleveland, OH. & then moved to Akron, OH. where my grandfather, Hugh was born. Other children were Harry & Eileen, plus 1 daughter, I believe, that I am missing. I have no idea where Dewitt & Clida were born or may have lived before Cleveland. I don't know Clida's maiden name. If anyone has any information, please contact me. My e-mail is va_diva716@earthlink.net
Thanks!
Kira Orne

Here is info on a Marblehead Orne. One Lucille Orne graduated from Story Grammar School in Marblehead on June 30, 1893, and Marblehead High Scholl on july 2, 1897. She then went to Potsdam (NY) Normal School where she completed a Music Teacher's Course on June 26, 1900 and received a "Classical Course of Instructions" from the same school at an unspecified date. She married Frank john Fuller, a local physician in Potsdam. They had a daughter, Margaret, (do not know if they had any other children) who married my great uncle, Elmer Conover Dwyer, on Feb. 9, 1932, in Potsdam and settled in Ovid, NY where she worked as a nurse at Willard State Hospital and he had a hair dresser's shop. They had no children.

Uncle Ralph
I too started to do a family tree, I'm Muriels daughter. I believe Fredrick L. Orne was a descendent from the Marbelhead Orne. But don't have anything to go on. My mom at one time had seen an article in the paper on them and some of the names of relatives, but no mention of grampy..He wasn't raised w/ a mother & father but I thought a grandmother raised him???

Theodore Orne

This is a shot in the dark but does anyone have information on Theodore Orne? He is my G-grandfather. He was born 4 Dec 1867 in either Sweden or Illinois. Married Sarah Elizabeth Wood in 1889 in or near Chicago, IL. where they had their only child Teckla (my grandmother). They later moved to Montana where Theodore and Sarah where divorced(?) around 1900 in Butte (?). My grandmother never saw her father again or knew what happened to him. I found him in the 1910 Census in Beaverhead Co., MT., and again in the 1920 census for Butt, Silverbow co., MT. but nothing else. This man is my brickwall and any help would be appreciated.
