Seeking information on James K. P. Orr or Polk Orr, born about 1845 in Tennessee (may be my GGGrandfather). His father Robert Orr; Mother Amarrilla or
Emma or Emily. Robert and wife show on the 1840, 1850, 1860, and 1870 censuses for Polk County Tennessee with various children who include Rachael,
William Franklin, Hiram J., Sion C., Robert R., Elijah, James K. P., and Sarah. The 1870 census shows Robert, Emily and a Margaret (possibly a grandchild or
niece). 1880 Polk County Tennessee census shows "Emily" as head of household with Margaret and two young girls, Nancy Ann (age 7) and Josephine (age 5)--did
Robert die?
James K. P. Orr shows on 1870 census for Lawrence County Arkansas with wife Jane and daughter Ellen. Believe son Fred Lonzo Orr (my great
grandfather) born to this couple in 1875 in Lawrence County. No trace of James, Jane, Ellen, or Fred ANYWHERE on 1880 census in Arkansas. Have
documentation that Fred married Roxie Annie Walker in Independence County, AR in 1895. Any help on James K. P. or Fred Lonzo Orr, particularly, or any of this family,
in general, will be greatly appreciated.
