ESTHER ORRELL
Esther Pauline “Polly” ORRELL, 87, passed away Oct. 3, 2007, in Sequim, Wash.
Polly was born in Texas and moved to California as a young child. She, along with her husband, Edgar, and their children, moved to Hesperia in 1957. She was a charter member of the Apple Valley Church of the Nazarene and the Victorville First Church of the Nazarene, where she played the piano, organ and vibraphone at both churches for many years.
Polly worked for 20 years as an employee of the Hesperia Unified School District, where she was one of the cooks at Juniper Elementary School.
She and her husband, Edgar, moved to Washington in 2002 to be near their daughter Shirley.
Polly was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Edgar, and her youngest daughter Judy Permoda of Phoenix, Ariz.
She is survived by her son Eldon and his wife, Sharon, of Sequim, Wash., and daughter Shirley and her husband, Cliff Dwyer, also of Sequim, Wash., four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
