I have been researching the Cooke Circus family and have come up with
Waldermar Alexander Oscar Kamienski born in Poland in 1828, the son of Count Louis Ferdinand Kamienski
He served in the Russian Army, later in the Mexican War under Maximilian and was shot in 1867. Took to the Circus and married in London in 1874. Moved to Astoria, Long Island and said to have ran a Horse Training School at "Beretta College" under the name of Alexander, Count Kamienski. Worked in the circus as Alexander Oscar. Wife Jenny Hengler and children Charles, Philip and Beatrice who was born in Astoria, Long Island. Fate, unfortunately, for the whole family unknown. Any connection or knowledge would be appreciated.
