Actually, I am looking at younger oictures of Chief Oshkosh and have a STRONG resemblance. As of yet there are family rumors and I am still searching. My Grandfather was born in Matoon WI, just outside of the menominee reservation. My 35d great uncle is James Clark who helped fight for the menominees rights and my fifth great uncle is william Clark. My Grandmother Clark is the question of relations to Chief Oshkosh and my grandfather I know is related to the Clark explorer and James Clark who helped the Menominee....in rfact James Clarks farm land was "given" to the menominee in retaliation from the govt. because of his involvemnet with the ,menominee.
