Is anyone researching William and Harriet Oskins? I have found conflicting and confusing information about Harriet. She evidently was married first to Rolen [or Roland] Tidwell in Jackson County AR and they had 4 children, Ambrose, Garland, Elva, and Thurza - who are listed in the 1850 AR census as children of William and Harriet Oskins, with last name Oskins. Ages of the other children would indicate she married Oskins ca 1838?
One LDS file lists Harriet's maiden name as STOKES.
The confusion set in when I discovered a Jackson County, AR marriage listing for a Mrs. Harriett Tidwell, daughter of Charles CAGLE marrying Samuel h. Williams in 1840. Can anyone shed some clarity onto all of this?
