In my family there was a Johannes Osland hwo left fore Canada (born 1991). and yes, your ancestors are from Fillippus Erlendson Odinsland,b ca 1285, and lived in Odinsland(Osland) and as the forfather of Losna-ætten, knights and rich lendmen in Norway.I was in maitland 20 years ago and found some osland there, even a street in sidney called Oslands-street.
