Norman Thomas Osterberg
Norman Thomas Osterberg, 59, of Davenport, passed away, Friday, March 21, 2008 after a lengthy illness at the Clarissa Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 23, 2008 from 4-7 p.m. and one hour before the services on Monday, March 24, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. at the Runge Mortuary. Cremation rites will be accorded. Burial will be at a later date in McKean, Pa.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family for disbursement to charities of their choosing or donor’s choice.
Norm was born on June 4, 1948 in Erie, Pa.
to Norman and Dorothy (Osborn) Osterberg.
He married Mary Lee Kinzig on June 10, 1978 in Davenport.
He was an over the road trucker working for several companies, most recently Malone Trucking until his illness would not allow.
He loved his Harley Davidson motorcycle,
visiting with his countless friends
over coffee at the Flying J, and playing golf.
He got his only hole in one in May 2007. His favorite vacation spot was Cancun. Those left to honor Norm’s memory include his wife, Mary Lee;
daughter and son-in-law, Tricia (Jamie) DeHaas, Erie, Pa.; his favorite grandson, Christopher, Erie, Pa.;
sons, Joshua Osterberg
and Jacob Osterberg, Davenport;
two sisters, Bonna Getto, Edinboro, Pa.
and Betty DeFelice;
numerous aunts, uncles,
nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents
and infant sister.
