Seeking info- Joseph Ostrowsky/Ostrofsky and w. Minnie in NYC 1902 - rest of life. Sibs - Mollie, Celia, Max/Euise, Oscar, Bessie, Charles, Louis. My 3gr grandparents lost all contact with family when my mother died at 28 in 1950.

My name is Alexandr Ostrovenets.
I was born in Baku (USSR), in 1979.
Now i live in Israel.
My father name is Evgeny, grandfather Iosif, His father name was Samuel, His father name was Boris.
That is everything that i know.
In Yadvashem in Jerusalem memorial i saw some relatives that killed in the holocaust.
You can try there to.

It is more then a year later. But I believe that Max was my Grandfather.

Looking for the family or descendants Esther Cohen and Sam Ostroff. They had three children:
1)Lila, married Sam Pascal. They Have two children: Howard and Rhona.
2)Freida Mira (Joyce), married Clifford Pastelnick. They have a daughter Jamin.
3)Faivish, married Karen Gates. Their children are Robin and Tanya Ostroff.
Esther's mother was Leah Haber, married to Cohen. She was from Hirlau Romania, originally, and was a sister of my great grandfather.

Any info would be very appreciated.

My grandfather, Max ostrow, had a brother Israel. I have no
information about him or his daughter Francis.

I don't know how helpful I will be .My mother,the former Charlotte Ostrow had afather named Sam,who had three brothers.Do you know about siblings in your grandfathers family?Hey,if nothing else ,two heads are better than one.

Hello,

I am looking for any information about the Ostrow family descended from either Max or Israel Ostrow--aka Ostrossky, Ostrovenets, Ostrovanz. They arrived in the US around 1909 from Russia. I am also trying to locate a missing cousin named Francis Ostrow, last know to be in Florida.

Theodore D. Ostrow was a Shakespearean scholar, a world class runner who just missed the 1928 olympics, and the second child of an immigrant couple. His father ran a laundry in Brooklyn NY and the shady characters from Murder Incorporated used to break in during the night, leave their soiled laundry (with a note regarding starch or no starch) and then break in the following night to retrieve their refreshed garments. I am searching for information on Theodore Ostrow from New York. He was born on April 8th 1908, and died in January of 1968. He and Marcia Ostrow (Pinsky, she remarried) gave birth to two sons, Marc Charles, and Steven. My father is Marc Charles Ostrow.
