I'm looking for any info on my great grandparents Ostrowski. My great grandpa Joseph Ostrowski m. Veronica Sokivich date unknown. Joseph was b. 1870 in Poland and d. 4-12-1936 in Ohio. Veronica was b. 6-17-1880 in Lithuania and d. 9-12-1962 in Ohio. I was told Joseph came to the U.S. abt. 1903. They had 6 children : Stanley, Paul, Harry, Sophie, Mary. Stanley is my grandpa. He m. Mary Kozlowski. I have photos of them all. I also found a Polsh Document of some kind that has thier signatures on it. I'm trying to find out what it is for.

I have a Mary Ostrowski born 5-1891 in Poland who married a Walter Frahm in Michigan. She immigrated here as a small child. Her parents were Frank Ostrowski and Victoria Chelmicki. Could we possibly be related?

Do you know if Mary had any sibilings, if so do you know thier names? I have not been able to find out much info on Joseph Ostrowski and his sibilings. One of Joseph's daughters is still living, but she is 89 yrs. old and can't remember who her mom and dad is. So I'm having trouble getting any good info but I'm working on it. I did manage to get some pictures but none of Joseph's sibilings. I'm in the process now of sending away for Joseph's birth certificate, who knows maybe his parents are Frank and Victoria. Hopefully we will find out.

Thank you for the response! Yes Mary had siblings. I am not confident yet in the names I have acquired from my sister in law. She knows there are more but could only think of these: Kate, Eleanor and Stella. She wasn't sure if they are sisters or sister inlaws!

I have a copy of Mary Ostrowski's immigration papers, also a newsclipping from Walter and Mary (Ostrowski) Frahm's 50th wedding anniversary, a copy of their marriage license.

In the 1910 Census used for her immigration purposes she is listed............

Frahm, John Head - no age listed - Place of birth Germany-citizenship Naturalized.(year of immigration 1873)
----Anna, Wife
----Walter, Son
----Theodore, Head
----Ernestine, Wife
----George, Son

Address was listed as 180 Waterman Ave, Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan.

We do not know who Theodore, Ernestine and George Frahm are.

Mary Ostrowski married 10-3-1914 to Walter Frahm in Detroit.
She is in the 1910 Census with husband, Walter. Hand written on back of paper is the following: 1942-48=1894 Chelmicki

Frank
Hamburg Germany.
We aren't sure who's handwritting this is or what it means.

Thank you for the response. Well I think it's going to take a little longer than what I had hoped , for me to get a copy of Joseph's birth certificate. Since I dont know the exact date and exact place. I'm going to have to send away for my grandpa Stanley Ostrowski's birth certificate first, then get all the info abt. his dad Joseph , then I will be able to send for Joseph's. In the meantime I will keep in touch and let you know if I find anything new.
