Flight Surgeon Dies in Try to Save Pilot
Announcement of the death of Capt. Aaron Oswald, 30, bomber squadron flight surgeon who was fatally injured while attempting to rescue a pilot trapped in a burning plane on Morotal Island, Feb. 24, was received yesterday by his widow, Delora Oswald, a nurse employed at Glendale Hospital.
A graduate of the Loma Linda College of Medical Evangelists and the White Memorial Hospital, Capt. Oswald was assistant superintendent of the Bakersfield Hospital when commissioned three years ago. His father, Emil H. Oswald, is superintendent of the Wyoming Conference of the Seventh-Day Adventist church and resides in Casper.
