Hi Barbara!
I'm also related to Henry and Louisa Ottrey. I have a fairly extensive family tree somewhere, but can't locate it at the moment. You do know that Henry and Louisa were in Australia, don't you? I had always thought that Henry's mother and father, Thomas and Mary, emigrated to Australia in the late 1840s or early 50s, but perhaps it was Henry and Louisa. I think they had a daughter Emily Louisa, who married an Edward Rowland, and their son George is my great, great grandfather. Sorry I can't be any more help at the moment. Cheers! Lynda

My great-grandfather is a son of William and Elizabeth(Brooks)Ottery born in Draycott,Somersetshire,England,May 1,1822.He emigrated with his brother William ariving in the U.S.at New York on May 14,1846.In 1847 in settled in the State of Wisconsin.He died 12/10/1906 leaving behind two sons,Edwin and Herbert.

Is this the Cynthia that was on the 1850 Izard county census with Anna John and Jackson? Are you sure her middle name was Kay? Are you sure she was born in 1845? I know these questions sound stupid but it is really important for us to know

I have traced the ottery name back to Alexander Ottery b. 1779 married to Elisabeth Wells b 1799 in London. There son Robert Ottery b 21/10/1828 migrated to Australia in the gold rush days.
Does anybody have any information prior to 1779?

i am looking for any thing on Eljia that I can find. I think he could be brother to one autrey that is called old John who died 1817. I know this isn't much but i don't have much but if any one knows any thing i would be very greatful. Thanks Barbara

Hi, I am not sure if there is a connection or if I can even help, but I am searching the Orterry name. I am finding there are many changes to this surname. If any of these names are in your line, please contact me. Orterry, Ortery, Ortry, Ottery, Ottrey, Autry, Autery, Autrey, Awtrey. Locations are Illinois, N Carolina, S. Carolina, Alabama.

Cyneth was born in 1845 in Northfork Ark. Izard co. trying to find out when she died. Also Henry and Louisa Ottrey had a daughter and she died young she was born 1842 in northfork Ark. In Izard co. Would like to find out about others but will save this tell the next time. Thanks

When did child of Louise die? her name was Louisa also she died in 1847 in northfork Ark. Izard co. All so if any one has any info on when daughter of Leone Clementine Watts Ottrey. She was born 1838 in Northfork Ark. Izard Co. She died in Benton Co. Ark. She died real young but she married befor she died and I am still looking for her husband name too. thanks
