Here is William Gibson's obituary:
"A well known resident of the city for the last 39 years William Gibson Otway, 1315 Young Street, died suddenly early this morning at the family home. He was 64 years of age.
Mr. Otway took sick yesterday and news of his sudden death this morning caused deep regret among the many friends of the family.
Born at Witherslack, England, he came to Fort William 39 years ago. Thirty Five years ago he moved into his home on Young Street and had resided there since. During his long residence here he had made a host of friends. For the past 25 years he had been employed as a car repairer with the Canadian National Railway. He was a member of St. Thomas’ Anglican Church. His home, family, and garden were his main interest in life.
Besided his widow, he is survived by three sons and three daughters. They are Norman, 403 west Amelia Street; Percy, 126 Caroline Street; Wilfred, at home, who recently returned from overseas; Doris, Mrs. t Hill, 140 South Rockwood Avenue, Port Arthur; Miss Edith, 140 south Rockwood Avenue; and Thelma, Mrs. L. Hyder, North McIntyre. There are ten grandchildren. Two brothers and a sister live in England. Several cousins live in the city.
The body is resting at Blake Funeral Chapel pending funeral arrangements."
