My great-grandfather was Lloyd Overmyer of Lake Bruce, Indiana.
He was a farmer, mechanic and station owner, and minister married
to Nora Jane Woodcox.
I'm trying to help family prove our Potowatomi heritage through
his mother, Lydia Owens Overmyer. The only "proof" we have is
that Lydia registered white and her brother, name unknown to me,
registered negro in Minn. Indians registered according to their
spouses race as to not be persecuted.
