I have just started to trace my family tree as a surprise for my dad who is Gordon Oversby, son of Mathew Haygarth Oversby (living in Liverpool, England). He was orphaned by the time he was 3 and has no knowledge of any of his relatives or their life histories. I have traced us back from Mathew to Richard, son of Elizabeth, daughter of Thomas, son of Oliver and so on back to John (died 1730). I would appreciate any information from anyone who has traced this branch. Any stories which would put flesh on the bones of my ancestors would be greatly received. I wouldn't be able to trade much, as I've said, my dad has no stories to tell me. I'd like to be able to give him some.
