Overtons in GA, AL, and ?NC

Surnames: Overton, Gilley, ?McCormick
I am researching Overtons in AL, GA, and possibly NC. My grandfather was James Washington "Bud" Overton bd 5-20-1887. He married Verna J. Gilley bd 6-5-1896. His mother was Amanda Melvina Overton bd ?1853 and I think his father was A.J. McCormick (maybe Andrew). I can trace my direct line back through Jacob Hagler Overton bd 9-1-1816,married to Mary Elizabeth Wakefield (Amanda's parents) and his father John Overton, who married Susannah Masaba Hagler but that's where my info ends. I'd like any info dealing with John or his parents, etc. and any info on siblings or spuses of the above mentioned people. Anything would be appreciated!
