I'm looking for information about the two Packard families that lived in Ingham County, MI, circa 1850. According to 1850 Federal Census, James Packard (b. ~1818 in NY), wife Malinda Packard (b. 1826 in NY), and 3 children, as well as William (elsewhere given as Willard) Packard (b ~1823 in NY), wife Abagail (b~1823 in NY), and 3 children all born in MI. There's no sign of James or William/Willard in the 1860 census, and William's wife Abagail had moved to Livonia, MI with their children.

I'm especially looking for William/Willard, though it would be helpful to know if there were familial ties between James and William.... brothers?
