There were a couple of issues in the Beatty Mann book regarding Phillip Packer and our line to the royal family. He had two sons names Phillip, both of whom lived to adulthood. She also listed children who were born to Phillip after the death of his wife.
Finally I have the answers in a Book: On Footings From The Past - The Packers in England by Donna Smith Packer. She did extensive research in England, with professional assistance and got to the bottom of things.
Phillip had a mistress that he kept in Ireland and raised duel families. After the death of his wife, he moved them to his castle and married the mistress. The Phillip who came to America is from his relationship to the mistress and is not descended from Royals. None of his children by his mistress were entitled to any property, so his son Phillip signed on as a servant to a family who was coming to America and that is how he managed to get here.
