Surnames: Packwood, Shumate
Karen,
I am seeking a connection between the Shumate (various spellings) and Packwood. My late grandmother’s ( Finette Packwood Howard) mother was a Mary Elizabeth Shumate born in and of a family from TN. Before her birth in 1844 I do not know where the family of Shumates came from, not only am I seeking that information; but I am most strongly trying to find the Packwood connection.,
