In reference to the Padley Paddle relation there is a relation there for my family. A John Padley came to Flat Islands, Placentia Bay, Newfoundland in the early to mid 1800's. I have researched his children and found the sir name Paddle and Paddley used interchangably, but no Padley. The name has been corrupted to Paddle now so I guess there is some sort of connection (obvious in my family). If anyone can shed any more light on this I would appreciate it.
